DOWNLOAD: Polluted Skyline - Brothaz Bent (produced by Animoss)
DOWNLOAD: Make It Quake - Deep Thinkers

This is the latest project from DJ Ice/Wilshire District Music called Miracle Mile. It features a lot of dope up and coming LA artists, as well as some that have been around for a while. If you’ve been watching my show “40s & Blunts“, you’ve definitely heard a few of the songs off here that I bump on the regular, such as Medusa’s “Get Up” and Brothaz Bent’s “Polluted Skyline” (both of whom have been guests on the show). The album is bangin, so when you’re done checkin the tracklist, you can go cop it HERE.

For those that don’t know, the Miracle Mile is an area in the Mid-Wilshire region of Los Angeles, California (where I lived when I first moved to LA), consisting of a roughly one-mile stretch of Wilshire Boulevard between Fairfax and La Brea Avenues, and the surrounding neighborhoods. What was said about the Miracle Mile’s founder A.W. Ross, could also be said about DJ Ice with this project. “Vision to see, wisdom to know, courage to do.” That’s what’s up!

In 2008, Juxtapoz Magazine and Upper Playground asked David Choe, Alex Pardee, Saber & Retna to paint their way across the United States. Traveling the country from Washington D.C. to the Bay Area with spray cans in their hands and cameras following, they bombed, brushed, and painted, leaving a swath of color and creativity in their wake. This short documentary piece, set to the music of Cutsoquick, captures the artists as they hit the streets collaborating on huge pieces and connecting with fans and admirers of their art from all walks of life.
