The individual panels where pre-made and assembled on to the wall unprimed. I then took a roller extension and freestyled the basic letter structure. This style lends itself to the spontaneity of the combination of roller and brush marks. I outlined the letters with an oil stick. This gets a nice thin and gritty line. I then extended the outline onto the surface with spray paint, bringing all the different plains together.
