An exciting phone call came into the Saberone Studio. Ron English was coming to Los Angeles to do some guerrilla billboard work and wanted Saber to be involved.

Ron English is one of the most technically superior oil painters today. His distortion of pop culture gives us a clear vision of reality. He will always hold my respect for this and for the work he’s put in on the public level.

The billboard of choice is on the west side of La Cienega, just south of Airdrome in Mid City, a prime location. First Ron put up the bill, then Saber did his thing.

With the ladders, spray paint, rollers, wheat glue, etc., and it took a couple hours. They did it in the middle of the day, and somehow got away with it. And it looks great lit up at night.

Our friends at AerosolFiends.com sent us this nice collection of flicks. Every single photo you see here plus many, many more are available for purchase at www.aerosolfiends.com for $0.50! They print on 4by6 glossy fuji crystal archive paper.. this paper & the finishing process we use offer the best combination of image quality, color, sharpness & fade resistance. Fuji crystal archive paper is known for its vivid colors along with more brilliant whites and clear detailed highlights. They don't use a desktop printer! They order their prints in bulk from a company on the east coast and duplicates are actually better quality than the originals. Yes, REVOK did their logo!
