BEAUTIFUL LOSERS: THE MOVIE

In the 1990¹s, a loose knit group of young American artists, influenced by the underground subcultures of the day, such as Skateboarding, Graffiti, Punk, and Hip-Hop, began to make art that reflected the lifestyles they led.

Centered around a small storefront gallery in New York¹s Lower East Side, in the true spirit of the ³do-it-yourself² ethic, they nurtured their crafts through trial, error and innovation. Over the last ten years this group, and the subcultures they sprang from have become not only popular, but perhaps the leading cultural movement of this generation. Beautiful Losers tells some of their stories.

Featuring: Barry McGee, Mike Mills, Ed Templeton, Margaret Kilgallen, Chris Johanson, Stephen Powers (ESPO), Peggy Honeywell, Geoff McFetridge, Jo Jackson, Harmony Korine, Mark Gonzales, Shepard Fairey, Cheryl Dunn, Aaron Rose and an original score by Money Mark.

Running time: 85 Minutes
